I know I'm a little late to the lipgloss bandwagon but boy am I happy to be here! I'm a little embarrassed to say the Kylie-Jenner-lips trend has gotten to me and I like my pout to seem fuller and gloss is a great way to achieve that.

THE FACE: As a primer I used the Nivea for Men After Shave Balm for Sensitive Skin per the angelic NikkieTutorials. The foundation I used was the Make Up Forever HD Foundation Stick in Ivory with my beautyblender. I set everything with my Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder and started contouring with the lightest and coolest shade in the Kat Von D Shade + Light palette called Sombre. I promise you, it's much cooler in person than what it's coming off as in the photo. I didn't wear blush and went straight for my Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade to highlight.
THE EYES: My favourite palette is the Naked2 Basics because the shades are beautiful and because of it's size. I used the shade Stark all over my lid and Frisk as my transition colour. I winged the colour out to lift my eyes and give a slight cat eye effect without the hassle of liner. I then deepened it up with Cover and used the smallest amount of Undone on the outer corners and blended everything out. I highlighted my lid, browbone, and inner corners with Mac Lightscapade. After that I used Lash Sensational Mascara by Maybelline. Finally, I ran through my brows with Maybelline's Brow Drama in Blonde.

THE LIPS: The only thing I'm wearing on my lips is a lipgloss from Maybelline that's been discontinued. It's in the shade Mirrored Mauve.
I guess it was a Maybelline kind of day!
It doesn't take much to get me into the spirit of Halloween considering this is my favourite holiday. I love fall, pumpkin spice, and everything spooky. The best way to get excited about the best day of the year is by watching Halloween themed movies, so I've comprised a list of my favourites.
I cannot go through October without watching this one. It's about this girl Marnie who finds out she's a witch and goes to Halloweentown with her grandmother where there's ghosts and ghouls just living their lives. Growing up watching this movie made me so disappointed that I didn't get magical powers on my 13th birthday.
Twitches
I LOVED this one when I was growing up. Two twin sisters who were separated at birth reunite on their 21st birthday to discover they're witches and have to use their powers to fight the forces of darkness. Tamera and Tia Mowry are amazing in everything they do and this movie is no exception.
Beetlejuice
If you're an adult and you've never seen Beetlejuice I really don't know what you've been doing you're whole life. It's weird, creepy and charming and who doesn't like a little bit of late 80's Alec Baldwin am I right? If you've never seen it you better watch it soon because it was confirmed that there will be a sequel!
Hocus Pocus
Now this is a classic, and for good reason. I'd never actually watched this when I was growing up so the first time I saw it was a couple years ago and it's been a Halloween tradition ever since. A trio of evil sister witches is brought back to life after a virgin lights a candle in their home and tried to repay the favour by eating them. Kathy Najimy is so funny in it you should watch it for her alone.
Halloweentown
I cannot go through October without watching this one. I've lived outside of Toronto for most of my life and I still feel like I tourist whenever I go down there. It's far enough that you have to make a day out of it, but there's so many things to do down there I still haven't done everything!
Kensington Market
Kensington Market is an incredibly well known area because of it's multicultural history. It's packed full of cafes, restaurants, bars and stores, and home to some of the most creative businesses.
St. Lawrence Market
I've only ever been to St. Lawrence Market once, and it was the first time I saw a full blown animals carcasses...it was creepy. But anyway, it's a cool market where you can buy fresh everything. There's even a stand in there all about juice.
CN Tower/Edge Walk
You can get an unbelievable view from the CN Tower, and an even better one if you choose the Edgewalk. Until a few years ago this was the world's tallest freestanding structure and it comes with glass floors (so you can squirm at how far up you are) and the 360 Restaurant.
Casa Loma
This gothic revival style house-turned-museum is a must see for history buffs, and architecture lovers. Completed in 1914, this castle has 98 rooms, stables, estate gardens and antique cars. This house definitely gives off a Great Gatsby feel with it's grandeur and elegance.
Distillery District

The Distillery District is a historic area of downtown Toronto, and is great for shopping boasting more than 80 shops, cafes and boutiques. It's also the largest collection of Victorian era industrial architecture in North America. This area is beautiful at night and around Christmas time, and has numerous art instillations.
I feel like I'm constantly plagued with the question of what to wear. I'm always buying clothes, yet I feel like I never put together different outfits. I discovered the app Polyvore and instantly became inspired.
Everyone owns a striped shirt and a pair of jeans so this one is easy. All you have to do to make it less boring is add colour and texture with accessories.
I personally do not own a sweater dress, yet, but I absolutely love them. I think they're such a simple yet versatile piece. I'm not the type of girl who can wear heels whenever, wherever so I'd pair it with nicer flats, and I love wearing a red lip with blacks and greys.
I've recently fallen in love with those mustard shades of yellow. Perfect timing since it's a beautiful colour for fall, right? Pairing brighter sweaters with basic jeans, a leather jacket and nude lips seems obvious but that's because it looks good!
If you're ever confused about how to pair colours together try google searching the colour wheel. Opposite colours on the wheel compliment each other, like purple and yellow. I always try to keep my essentials neutral tones and spice it up with coloured accessories or lip products.
To be completely honest I've never really been passionate about eating healthy and working out. I'm very laid back with those things, but I'm mentioning it to make sure you understand this is not one of those posts with healthy snack food options that are disgusting once you try them yourself.
I'd never tried chickpeas before I became pescetarian but since then it's really helped me to get that protein I cut out. Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) are also packed full of fiber, iron, vitamin B-6, and magnesium. These little beans are great for weight control because the combination of fiber, protein, and their low glycemic index help keep you feeling full. Studies also show that chickpeas lower your risk of heart attack.
So not only are these great for you, but this snack is so easy to make! All you need is a can of chickpeas (I used a 19 oz), 1/2 tbsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tbsp cumin, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil and salt to taste. All you need to do is rinse the chickpeas, mix the spices together, let the olive oil heat up in a frying pan and once it's hot pop them all in there and fry them. I like to do it for about 10 or so minutes but you can use less olive oil and do them for less. But that's it, you're done! I've been making these every other day I'm obsessed!

Any time I'm looking to purchase new makeup I go to my girl Essiebutton. So many people trust her judgement on beauty products that she's actually come up with a name for it, the #essiebuttoneffect, and I am proud to say that I've fallen victim.
I ordered Mary Lou Manizer by The Balm on Amazon a few weeks ago (I sadly nicked it with my fingernail so now it's not perfect) and I've been obsessed ever since. It's definitely not a subtle highlight and I adore it because of that. I've always been nervous around warm toned makeup, but this shade is like getting my feet wet with warm toned products and I'm embracing it wholeheartedly.
It would compliment a lot of skin tones, but if you're dark skinned I would test it out beforehand just to make sure because even though it does have a hint of gold it could look a little too white. It all depends on what you like on your skin.
